On Friday 21st July, Whitecroft celebrated their annual summer party with a carnival theme involving a range of games and entertainment, from a fire-breather, bucking bronco, sumo wrestling suits and much more.
After two o’clock struck, the fun began – a chance for the team to step away from their desks and enjoy recognition for their hard work throughout the year.
Despite the typical Mancunian downpour, colleagues gathered within gazebos and were able to interact across all departments, a great opportunity to meet new people and share interests with one another.
Olive, our catering team provided us with barbeque essentials, including burgers, hotdogs, and vegetarian alternatives – the perfect selection of food to replenish us after enjoying a range of activities.
In addition to the booked performers, entertainment was provided by our employees themselves through a mixture of superb karaoke and a range of hit songs. A blast from the past supplied by a DJ, keeping spirits high and the dance moves flowing.
Despite the broken sunshine, it didn’t stop the ice cream van from shining a light on everyone’s afternoon. After all, who can say no to ice cream?! After swinging around on the bucking bronco, being tackled in an oversized sumo suit, to knocking coconuts off a pike, the ice cream was the perfect cherry on top for everybody to cool down.
The afternoon was finished with a free raffle for all attendees to take part in, with a cash prize, spa day, and 3-course meal at a luxury restaurant up for grabs.
Of course, the celebration was focused on the people of Whitecroft, as a means of appreciation for everybody’s hard work and unity that allows Whitecroft to thrive.
By incorporating a social element within the company, we accentuate the value of each employee, boosting morale and allowing us to show our appreciation and respect for everybody in the business.
A special thanks goes out to Whitecroft's Social Club Committee for arranging a fantastic event all can enjoy, and the Leadership Team at Whitecroft for creating a positive and thriving company culture.
