The Bee in the City is a stunning public art trail of over 100 individually designed giant bee sculptures. Each bee has been designed by a different artist to celebrate the unique buzz of Manchester, from its industrial heritage to its vibrant music scene.
Whitecroft has sponsored The Beeholder - a collaborative bee design produced by Light4, the lighting design group of Cundall.
Light4 is an award-winning lighting design group based in the centre of Manchester; with additional members in Hong Kong and Sydney, Australia. The Manchester team consists of Director Andrew Bissell, Mark Tweedale, Kim Riley, Hannah Murphy, Liz Skelton and Kenny Cliffe and with a mix of technical and design backgrounds they were keen to get involved with such a unique and interesting event.
Having worked on numerous projects together, Light4 and Whitecroft Lighting are excited to join forces again and bring about a striking and engaging installation.
Follow the journey of The Beeholder on Instagram and Facebook and join the trail from 23 July until 23 September.
