Covering 8 floors, including 2 basement levels and 6 floors of open plan office space, Hanover and Block E in Central Manchester is a magnificent Edwardian Grade II listed building blending unique period features with contemporary design.
The main objective of this CAT A fit out was to deliver a compliant lighting and controls scheme which would be easily adaptable for future subletting tenants with minimal cost and disruption, while also maximising natural daylight and reducing wiring, a particular challenge for the contractor in this Grade II listed building.
In order to provide a solution to tick all the boxes, Whitecroft Lighting supplied a continuous mounted Broadsword with integral Organic Response® wireless control to provide an easy-to-use and flexible solution.
Used across the top 6 floor office spaces, our Broadsword with integral Organic Response® wireless control were installed.
Organic Response® works instantaneously with configuration done simply via an app on a smartphone or tablet. After a quick demonstration, the contractor was able to easily commission the floors in line with the design philosophy.
The building has now been secured and is undergoing a CAT B Fit out to which the OR® works perfectly. The contractor will be able to quickly reconfigure the spaces without the need for a specialist commissioning engineer, ultimately saving on time and cost, and causing minimal disruption to the users.
